For the past two weeks, we have been building the Aluminium ISEC, we began with mixing a vermiculite cement mix basing on a 1.5:1.5:1 (Vermiculite(Big particles):Vermiculite(crushed):Water) mix used during the heat tests;
Reasons:
The 1.5:1.5:1 had a good strength while also showed good heat insulation results.
This mix was then poured in a mould and set out to dry.
We then bolted a sauce pan plus the heater plate with the resistive heater in the dry vermiculite cement mix and placed it in the aluminium casing.
Next was wiring, which involved attaching a plug and switch to the ISEC.
