ASEI ISEC Heater-junction wire connection

Hello all,

This is how we connect the heater element to the power source wires and might be a solution to “the nicrome wire melting the copper wires”.
We will run more tests to check for how long the connection holds.
We strip the connector,cover it in insulation and attach the heater wire elements and copper wire elements at different ends.

I cut an electric heater open and was surprised to see that the ~ 2mm diameter steel electrodes are not spot welded to the NiCr wire as I thought they were. They are just wrapped around. Also the steel electrode extends into the heating element much further than I expected… all the way to where the coiled surface meets the pot?
